Summary

Some monsters just need to be tamed.

The Dark Wolf God was a monster of legend—a shifter so powerful that he could lay waste to the world and make alphas bow before him. I didn’t believe he was real. Then four weeks ago, he attacked my pack and nearly ended my life.

Now he’s claimed me.

When a war with the fae threatens his realm, he tears me from my world and makes me his captive. He believes I have the power to free him from a curse, but unless I figure out what kind of magic I have, he’ll never let me go. He’s my enemy, but there’s no denying the heat between us or the bond that ties us together.

Should I defy the monster, or could the man behind the beast be redeemed?

If you love alpha heroes with dark souls, tortured pasts, and an obsession with the woman who could bring them to their knees, sink your teeth into this enemies-to-lovers paranormal/fantasy romance.

Wolf God: Samantha & Cadean, Book 1 of 3

This is part 1 of a dual-POV, slow-burn romance with an HEA in Book 3 and increasing steam. It is a standalone series. However, if you want to learn more about the events that gave rise to this story, you can sink your teeth into the completed Wolf Bound series.

An Exciting Roller Coaster Ride!😲💥💘🎧

Wolf God
Ruthless Gods: Wolf God, Book 1
Audiobook 🎧
By: Veronica Douglas
Narrated by: Samantha Cook, Aiden Snow
Length: 12 hrs and 50 mins
E-Book (Read Using Kindle Unlimited)

I really liked these audio narrator's, they are two of the best I've come across!⭐🎉 They were both excellent, but I felt that the male was especially perfect in his role. His deep, growly and gravely voice was perfection as the Wolf God, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well be pulled off the female characters too!💥👋 The female was excellent at both the female and male roles as well, although she couldn't quite do Cadean as well as the male did him, obviously.👋

I find my brain is taking in the information better when I can read & listen at the same time. Getting to use an Audiobook 🎧 is much more preferable for me than using text to speak. I have a foggy and fatigued brain, these issues are from illnesses, so it's very important to me.🙏

I really liked Samantha in the prior series. She was a bad@ss and brave but also really kind to Savannah.🙏 I found she had carried through many of these traits into this series, she was someone to admire. Unfortunately, she went down the same route Savannah did in book 2, and showed too much prejudice and used the word 'monster' to describe Cadean, the Wolf God, incessantly!😔 I found it uncomfortable, frustrating and really annoying.🙄 Even if, in certain circumstances it was justified to her.

Cadean was at times, both kind and witty. He could also be very cold and controlling, I was thoroughly surprised when he showed his vulnerabilities to Samantha! His obvious love for his people and kingdom, including everything in it, was so admirable! Yet his attraction and protective instincts he had towards her, were held against him.😔 Neither of them understand what the fates had done when they agreed to send her back from the brink of death, in the prior series!😲💥
I really liked Mel and Selene but I was never a fan of a certain brother!

I thought the world building of the Dream Lands was clever, expansive and intricate and the pace was really good.🎉 What I also noticed was the repetition in Samantha's thought processes! ( I think their beta reader/s or editor needs to be more vigilant and vigorous in that early stage, to cut this sort of thing down, it would also have dealt with a lot of her excessive monster talk./thinking! In my opinion.)
Please don't misunderstand - as this storytelling duo definitely captivate and thrill!😍 I just want the read to shine that bit more, as I know it could!✨ I'm definitely look forward to the 2nd book in this series.💘⭐

Frustrating

I like the the story and characters over all but the storyline goes round and around and nobody triumphs in the end, it’s quite a demoralising story. I will read the next one in the hope it has more positives.
