About this listen
The New York Times bestseller, Win Every Argument is the ultimate audiobook guide to debate, persuasion and public speaking, written and read by award-winning British-American journalist Mehdi Hasan.
Arguments are everywhere – and especially given the fierce debates we’re all embroiled in today, everyone wants to win. In this riveting guide to the art of argument, Mehdi Hasan shows you how to communicate with confidence, rise above the tit for tats on social media, and triumph in a successful and productive debate in the real world.
Arguments help us solve problems, uncover new ideas we might not have considered, and nudge our disagreements toward mutual understanding. A good argument, made in good faith, has intrinsic value – and can also simply be fun.
As a journalist, anchor, and interviewer who has clashed with politicians, spy chiefs, and celebrities from across the world, Hasan reveals his tricks of the trade for the first time. Whether you are making a presentation at work or debating current political issues with a friend, Hasan will teach you how to sharpen your speaking skills to make the winning case.

My favourite lesson was to grasp the importance of pathos, quickly realising feelings matter as much as nuanced points in a debate.
In all, this is a practical book carrying the vigour of Mehdi's argumentative powers. It details must-have principles and behind the scene works to winning debates.

Rational-thinking listeners will need to look past the special pleading and misquotes / misrepresentations the author engages in with regard to religion. They don't really have any bearing on the efficacy of the espoused strategies.
One other minor point: The "coeruleus" in "locus coeruleus" is pronounced with an "s" sound at the start, not a hard "c".
Useful techniques, with some caveats
