Summary
Trouble at Happy Trails, book 1: Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, checks in to her allotted space at Happy Trails RV Park in Spokane, Washington, with hopes of a pleasant week of touring the area. By night’s end, a death in the park finds her consoling the deceased man’s widow...or his killer. Whether the dearly departed died by his own hand or whether someone murdered him remains to be seen. It seems the deceased had a lot of character flaws. A lot!
Peregrine Ebenezer Alvord, otherwise known as Ben, is tagging along with Minnie on her travels. That he is an early 19th century ghost is only a minor complication. Ben has the ability to venture unseen where others cannot.
Trouble at Sunny Lake, book 2: Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, is stressed out from the recent events at Happy Trails RV Park, and she looks forward to some relaxation at an RV park nestled on the shores of beautiful and serene Sunny Lake in Spokane County, Washington.
Ben cannot stop Minnie from investigating a mysterious young man who hides in one of the park cabins, nor can he prevent her from discovering a body at the foot of a lakeside cliff. All he can do is help Minnie as she embroils herself yet again in another murder mystery.
Trouble at Glacier, book 3: Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle enthusiast and traveler, lucks into a first come, first served camping spot at Apgar campground in majestic Glacier National Park, Montana. After the stress over the past few months of finding herself involved in not one but two murders, she looks forward to the serenity of the mountains. She has sworn off sleuthing forever.
Until her next-door neighbor is attacked and killed by a bear, that is. Minnie has the bad luck to be the first to discover the body. Not as bad of luck as the victim had, but bad luck nevertheless. So much for the serenity she thought she’d find at Glacier.
Books 1-3 of the Will Travel for Trouble series short cozy mysteries featuring Minnie Crockwell, recreational vehicle (RV) enthusiast, and her ghost traveling companion, Peregrine Ebenezer (Ben) Alford, as they travel across the United States, discovering murder and mayhem along the way.

Excellent quirky Mysteries
An excellent set of three quirky murder mysteries with a really inventive and interesting twist, Well written, great characters especially Ben the ghost, the author keeps the number of characters small but the murderer is always a surprise.
Michelle Babb does a wonderful job of bringing the stories to life, her performance as Ben is wonderful..

Each book very enjoyable
Narration. Such an important part of an audiobook. In these three books, I think that the narrator, Michell Babb, was well chosen. I quickly became used to her style of reading and was pleased to follow each book under her guidance.
All three books told stories that were similar in some ways, though different enough to keep my interest. I would have liked the stories to be a bit longer and to have seen a little more action for Minnie and Ben, but in any case I enjoyed the two main characters and would very likely read more from Minnie Crockwell.

loved all of it
I don't have a bad word to say about this little box set, I love that I get books 1-3 together, I love that the stories flow together to make a larger narrative, I also love the fact that I can pick up either of the three books and they are stand alone stories in their own right.
I love that Minnie, our main character, is strong, independent and utterly adorable in her likeability, her tenacity in not letting things go that don't completely add up to her, her willingness to set in when there is trouble or danger, even if she doesn't know the person.
I love the idea of the traveling ghost companion and some of the things Ben says to Minnie, especially when chastising her for not listening to his warnings make me laugh out loud.
I think the narration is fantastic and made these books even more enjoyable, I'm really looking forward to starting the next set and find out what other (mis) adventures Minnie and Ben get into.

Mystery escape
I am not normally a fan of short stories because they are over before they get anywhere but as this book contains three and they all follow on from each other, it seemed like just one book and you never noticed how long or short they were. So I enjoyed and they were the right length, long enough to meet the characters and still keep you interested but not too long that it seemed dragged out. I liked the idea of a ghost as a companion to a single woman as she travels around in her R.V and the fact he helps her solve mysteries while stopping at each camp site and I think it worked very well as a story. Each of the mysteries were different and contained a number of suspects. Looking forward starting the next set of books.
Book one Trouble at happy trails -four stars.
Minnie arrives at Happy trails and immediately walks in on the camp site caretakers arguing. Before the night is over she hears a scream and finds herself comforting the wife who is covered in the husbands blood. After yet another augment did he really commit suicide or did he have help? The man was a bully and a womanizer so there are a number of suspect's. Can Minnie and her friendly ghost find a happy ending by unmasking the killer.
Book two Trouble at sunny lake -five stars.
While spending time at Sunny lake camp ground Minnie decides to relax and enjoy the scenery by boat. Being a novice she makes sure Ben her ghostly companion joins her and watches the safety video, the last thing she wants to do is get stuck on the lake. But getting stuck is the last thing she needed to worry about when she stumbles over a body floating in the water. Did the man really from the cliff or was he pushed? By asking questions it is not long before Minnie finds out she is the only one on the campground that doesn't have a connection to the dead man or a reason to kill him. Does the murderer have something to do with his past life? As a war veteran he certainly made some enemies.
Book three Trouble at Glacier- five stars
While at Glacier National Park Minnie is warned about a bear that is hanging out at the site. Like everyone else the thought of seeing a bear and taking a photo is an exciting idea for Minnie. That is until she comes face to face with the bear and then stumbled over the mutilated body of the man staying in the next RV. It was scarey seeing the bear but it didn't look like it had just attacked a man. Could the bear be being framed? The park rangers soon think so and for the third time Minnie finds himself involved in a murder investigation. Minnie and her ghostly companion soon find connections between a number of people at the camp site and another bear attack, one that a lady died actually died in. Is that the connection between the killer and the victim? And if so who is the killer?
The reason I choose to give this series ago is because I like the narrator and know if she is reading the story then you are going to be in for a treat because she never puts in a bad performance.

Really Good Series
I really enjoyed these, the first 3 books in this series, the storyline is typical Cozy mystery where the heroien keeps finding dead bodies but unlike some these stories are fast paced and interesting throughout. The idea of the heroine being joined by a 180 plus year old ghost works well and Ben certainly comes into his own in some situations. Michelle Babb is a great reader with her ability to give each character their own voice and even personality. I would highly recommend this series and look forward to reading more Will travel for trouble books. *****
