great for a shorter book

I was hesitant since this book is on the shorter end but it was very informative. It opened my mind to other aspects of fasting than just weight loss but I really appreciate. Seeing different views is important for me.

Very Useful Resource!

This topic is very interesting to me because my dad does fasting and told me about it before, but he didn't explain how everything works in the body and skeptical about it. As I look back the history of his health, it makes sense. I am so happy that I found this book. I learned a lot from this book. There are lot of health benefits of fasting and a lot of scientific studies and real world examples, making the case for fasting even more convincing. And there are different type of fasting including intermittent fasting, water fasting, and juice fasting which I found fascinating because I think someday I do water and fasting with my busy day without realizing it.

" Why You Should Fast" emphasizes the importance of individualizing fasting protocols to suit different needs and goals. It provides practical advice on how to choose the right type of fasting, how to prepare for and break a fast, and how to incorporate fasting into your lifestyle safely and effectively.

Overall, this book is an excellent resources for anyone interested in health benefits of fasting.

Great Advice

This book teaches the importance of fasting and all the health benefits that come along with it. It talks about different fasting techniques and how long you should do it to achieve the goal you are looking for.

Perfect amount of information in this book

"Why You Should Fast" is a great intro on the science and art of fasting. People fast for different reasons but I had no idea how many excellent reasons there are for fasting! This book touches on all the topics you should know if you are interested in fasting and why it is healthy to do so. I learned a ton! I appreciate the author's thoughts on fasting for spirituality too. The narrator's voice is quite pleasant and easy to listen to. Well done!

Great resource to learn about fasting

It seems like everyone talks about fasting these days and this book does a fantastic job of cutting through the fluff, giving you concrete data and steps to get started. I like how the book goes beyond just the concept of fasting and gives some nutrition advice. And something I love is how the author talks about situations when people shouldn't fast. For me, that gives much more credence to the book, because the author is actually educating people instead of just pushing a subject matter. Highly recommend!

OH Juiced and Packed

Now, we all know some benefits of fasting, and the main one is weight loss. For me it had primarily been for overall health, not knowing the additional benefits like diabetes prevention, fighting cancer, fighting again alzheimers or dementia and so forth. Goodness, this audiobook was well narrated and very informative on the different type of fasting. I'll have to playback again. I recommend you listen too.

Game changer!

One of the things that I appreciated most about this book is how it emphasizes the importance of approaching fasting with a healthy mindset. The author makes it clear that fasting is not about depriving yourself, but rather about nourishing your body and mind in a different way. This is an important message, especially in a world where fad diets and extreme weight loss methods are so prevalent.

Easy to follow instructions

This is a simple and easy-to-follow book for fasting. I struggle with dieting as far as changing the types of foods I am eating and trying to think of new meals to plan etc. Fasting is more to help control how your body will metabolize food. I had never heard of autophagy but the author introduces this term to me and now I understand more of what fasting is and why it works. The good news for fasting is that you can fast and build up to a prolonged fasting period in several different ways.

There are several key health benefits to fasting, such as reducing stress, reducing food addiction, reversal to type 2 diabetes and so much more. I myself struggle with working from home and when things are stressful, I go to the kitchen and get me food that makes me feel better. I believe with this book, I can start to set up a plan for myself for fasting and I am very excited to be able to get started! Great book for anyone who doesn’t necessarily want the stress of dieting and changing around your entire lifestyle. Fasting is a weight loss method that cost nothing and you can get started today!

I'm excited to begin my fasting journey!

I just finished listening and am planning on starting tomorrow what I learned. I had no idea there was such a science to fasting and how many reasons there are why people fast. If you are thinking about fasting, this tape talks about many things you should know. I'm excited to begin my fasting journey!

Great Audio on Fasting!

I was always interested in fasting but didn't know where to begin. After reading this book, I was shocked to find so many different time frames for fasting! I was thinking it was just one way. I always found it fascinating how some people could go that long without eating, but this book showed how to work with that. The protein and carb intake shocked me, but that's because I'm used to the Keto Diet. Going from Keto to fasting will be a change, but this audiobook gave me confidence that I could do it this time. I recommend this book for those like me who are interested in what fasting is all about and want to explore it by doing it the right way.
