Makes so much sense
Fantastic book, definitely worth a listen! For the last while I’ve wondered where all my money has been going every month. After listening to this book, I am now going to go through all my subscriptions and cancel the ones that I haven’t needed/used lately. Silly things like that quickly add up and slyly increase in cost without you noticing.

The most useful book I have read / listened to this year!
Well written, informative and incredibly useful for everyone. Great tips to help save money / avoid spending unnecessarily, and really made me think about the many ways that social media and the Internet encourage us to spend. Made me review all my subscriptions and direct debits and review all aspects of my finances. Reading this years ago would have been very beneficial! Highly recommend.

written from first hand experience
It's easy to get to the end of the month and wonder where exactly your money went, we have all done it and we've all scratched our heads and thought how on earth did i manage to spend that amount of money so quickly.
but the world is set up to make this happen
i've just bought a new phone, and every two minutes it seems the thing shows me an advert for something i may want to buy, based on my location - just walked past the shop, based on the time - maybe it's time to order food, based on my recent internet history, just looked up a manual for my washing machine - now i'm getting ads trying to sell me one and also trying to sell me different pdf manuals for literally everything in my house.
the whole world is trying to separate you from your money, even i am writing this review!
the real trick is - being aware that this is happening.

The title made me laugh but its' SO TRUE
Well done for pointing out the obvious - but then if you completely ignore these obvious drains on your money are they actually that obvious at all? that's the question i was asking myself, along with how lazy/stupid i've been not to simply cancel unused subscriptions or buying food i then waste.
covid turned us all into just eat fanatics but have we all really forgotten how to cook?
do we really need 5 different streaming services only to then not find anything to watch?
my virgin account alone is almost £100 for rubbish tv and even worse broadband and i get unlimited data on my mobile anyway - do i even NEED broadband?
what an eye opener this book was.
