A charming story with first class narration from Lucy Scott. I read it as a child and this production took me right back. Noel Streatfeild never fails to impress with her strong female characters. Highly recommended to boys and girls of all ages.

This was a favourite of mine when I was a girl and I listened to it on a whim this week when I wasn't very well. I wanted something comforting. it really delivered.
I remember Lucy Scott from Pride & Prejudice and her voice is wonderful for this. Great characterisations. Real warmth. Good job.

I liked the skating because I can skate too. Even if I didn’t skate I think it’s a really good book and other people would like to read it too

I remembered loving this book when I was growing up, and really enjoyed revisiting it. The narration here is excellent and lets the story shine, with good and distinctive voices for all the characters.

My only criticism is that the audio should have been checked more thoroughly before release, as there are three places where the narration has not been edited properly to remove duplicate phrases.
