Queen of PNR
Whispers of Ruin is the tenth book in The Shadow Realms series. I would recommend reading the series in order. The first six books are about Lexi and Cole, the following three books are about Sahira and Orin and this book is the first chapter in Brokk and Kaylia’s story.
Buckle up for this one… HOLY plot twists - I was definitely not expecting that end or that sneak peak!
This was spectacular! The entire book I was on the edge of my seat worried and wondering what was going to happen. We know that something bad happens to Brokk and Kaylia because of the rest of the series but I never expected this!!
I was nervous about this book because I absolutely LOVED the first three books in this series and while I still enjoyed the rest of the series, I didn’t love them as much as the first three. I was also concerned about Kaylia because, like Orin, in the previous books I didn’t really like her. I feel like Davies really illustrated to us who Kaylia is. I learned so much about her that I never knew before and can’t wait to learn more. I am totally rooting for her and Brokk now!
Obviously I loved Brokk. Forget book boyfriend, book husband is what Brokk is.
Every time I had a theory Brenda K Davies just showed me how brilliant she is and dismantled them. I applaud Davies amazing writing skills and world building. Nobody can surprise me like she can.
I will literally be up all night now thinking about this amazing book.
