Having been raised in California by a Korean father and American mother, Lainey grows up in a balance between traditional values and modern thinking.
Passionate about fabrics, she graduates from college with a degree in fashion design with her particular interests residing in how fabrics can be used to communicate a person's state of mind and essence.
Soon after graduating, she accepts an internship in Paris to study with a new designer.
