About this listen

Welcome to WATCH DOGS: TRUTH, Audible's first original interactive audio experience.

After Dedsec's heroic actions in the Zero Day affair, the government publicly praised their role in saving the city. However, this reset of relations was short-lived. A new crackdown on civil freedoms is underway, as the surveillance state fights back against growing activism and protest.

The government's cyber intelligence force, SIRS, has been directed to orchestrate a sinister campaign of message manipulation, fake news, and discrediting dissent. With the rise of deepfakes and fake news, the line between truth and falsehood has become nearly impossible to discern.

But Dedsec is fighting back. When they uncover a troubling instance of this disinformation, they realize the threat is far more organized and nefarious than it first appeared. Now they must convince the implementers to change course - using the targeted tactics Dedsec is known for.

As you listen, you'll be guided through this story by Bagley, who can access any CTOS device, including your own Optik. At the end of each episode, you'll be asked to make choices that will determine Dedsec's next move. The fate of the city hangs in the balance. Are you ready to join the fight for the truth.

Starring T’Nia Miller as Connie, Gary Beadle as Tyrone, Freema Agyeman as Yolanda, Russell Tovey as Paul, David Morrissey as McAllister, Hannah Lowther as Camilla, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett as Oscar, Ruben Reuter as Charlie and Pascal Langdale as Bagley.

fits well in the universe

good pacing and interesting consequences, it's gritty and grounded, a little too serious at times perhaps

Interesting concept and excellent performances

Loving this interactive podcast! I’m only on part three, but so far I’m intrigued. Probably will want to go back and see how the alternative storylines are different!

Excellent

I really liked it. Fast, to the point and engaging. And the fact that the story is influenced by your choices gives it an extra thrill.

This is not a fairy tale

If you like to decide between skipping along path A or dancing along track B this might not be a good match for you.

But if making some challenging choices in a gritty near future London appeals to you then ding ding ding you have a winner.

A review of the characters or storyline I chose might influence your choices, maybe enjoy letting it all unfold instead

Great concept

I enjoyed the plot and the oppotrunity to steer the storyline. The flexible storyline meant I could go back and experience the book again from a different angle.

Nice idea!

Loved the concept. Great performance. Reminded me of a book I read. Hack.A.I. I think it was called. Good book too.
