Este poema es una diatriba de odio, y también un himno de amor, a la ciudad donde el espíritu del poeta se exalta por los millones de patos, cerdos, palomas, corderos, gallos, sacrificados en los mataderos; Federico García Lorca fue un poeta y dramaturgo español nacido en 1868 en Fuente Vaqueros, Granada. Perteneciente a la Generación del 27, se relacionó con muchos de los escritores e intelectuales más importantes de España, como Luis Buñuel, Rafael Alberti o Salvador Dalí.
