A nice and simple way to see the economic comparisons of the Nordics and the USA, author sounds a little dated but did hold the story together well.

Interesting ideas and great insight

This book paints a rather rosy picture of the Nordic countries, which I struggled with at first. But, then I realised that this might be how it is when compared to the American model.
The author touches upon some of the problems in the Nordic countries, so at least its not presented as perfect.

Even though it's not totally realistic, it does present a good picture of the model. It's just very simplified.

The narrator however... I wouldn't have believed it was possible to mispronounce all non-English words that much unless it was deliberate! I'm Norwegian, and I was constantly distracted because I had to untangle the pronunciation to understand what he was talking about. I'm still not sure what the author's wife is called, though she is mentioned by name many times throughout! (But, next time I talk to Audun Lysbakken, I'm so gonna say his name like this narrator!)
