About this listen
Beth, forever fanning the flames of tension and dissension, has the Stryvers, the Progerians, and the entire human race on the brink of annihilation. It is up to Michael Talbot, BT, Drababan, and the United Earth Marine Corps to stave off this extinction event, along with General Ginson aboard the outgunned, outmanned, and nearly crippled USS Guardian. Is it too late, or can it all still be saved?

Caught between the Stryvers and the Progerians with Beth (Michael's ex) trying to kill everyone this is one wild ride and I can't wait for the next one.
A fantastic series

This latest story is full of everything you'd expect from Tufo; great characters, humour, excitement and pain. The progression of the war and the characters within it continues to thrill and feels so natural despite the subject matter. Enemies and alliances, friends and foes all battle through this book with Michael Talbot always the link between them. There are new characters to fall in love with, to fear, and to be wary of. And the play between BT and D is priceless. I found tears in my eyes more than once listening to this book. From both laughter and sadness.
Brilliant writing. Brilliant character development. (I know a character is written well when I feel the need to punch them myself for their behaviour!)
The second epilogue is a real treasure. Painfully bitter sweet. A story I'm both glad and sad to know.
As ever, Sean Runnette breathes life into Tufo's already lively words. His delivery is rich and his comic timing perfect. The voice of Mike Talbot will only ever be Sean Runnette for me.
Another stonker of a story!
