The level of crazy in this book was incredible not only the son who did the killing but the mother who indoctrinate the son. After all she was going to be a nun so the son she had was a message from God that they had to avenge her husbands death.

enjoying the series but the more it goes on I wonder if this is where the LJ James got her idea for Fifty Shades of Grey. millionaire - Working Girl. lots of sex scenes but without the S&M of Grey. I like the stories but sometimes the sex scenes get a bit boring and skip over them to get back to the story.

No other books compare to these books. The characters are just amazing. I love them.

I loved when Eve and Roarke had a huge row after she locked him out of the bedroom.

When Eve said she agreed with what he had done in the past.

J D Robb is the most amazing author. Her ability to create characters who get into your head and heart is addictive!! This series just gets better and better but it is so dark and gritty only lightened by the amazing characters and their continually growing relationships.
Heart wrenching and warming all at the same time!!
Brilliant narration really brings this grizzly tale to vivid life!

And vengeance cuts many, many lives short only underlining that time is precious,
As always Eve does everything she can to claim justice for the dead but this time the dead are not the only victims and Roarke's past complicates every move Eve makes. They are both stubborn and both don't hesitate to protect the other with their lives, making this an explosive case with plenty of verbal sparring, dangerous chases and hot lovin'. This is a series that will never be boring, the unexpected leaps out of every page with a quirky cast you cannot help but love.
