I read this book after hearing about it on Lorraine breakfast show. So glad I did. I lovely down to earth story of the love, friendship and trials of three close friends throughout their lives. Very believable and well written and narrated. Look forward to reading more from Ruth. Highly recommended.

I so enjoyed this book, it made me laugh out loudly also cry. The only down side it kept me awake lol. Ruth’s voice was such a pleasure to listen to. Going to listen to her first book now. Hope there will be lots more in the future.

Oh my word! I so enjoyed this novel. Beautifully narrated by Ruth Jones herself, complete with a little bit of Nessa Jenkins occasionally thrown in with a certain character. Favourite character? Probably Father O'Leary and the fact he always gets Catrin's name very slightly wrong, but always wrong nonetheless. Or maybe it was Patricia Harris for all the wrong reasons? I can't decide.

Had me laughing out loud one minute and weeping the next. Life is a funny old thing. And that's what this book is about. It's about life. Set between 1976 and 2019, this book follows the lives of three best friends. Their ups and downs and the people they share them with. The loves, joys, gains and losses life brings, humanity, and how one decision can change your world for the better or for the worse.
