Summary
From USA Today best-selling author T.M. Frazier, Up in Smoke is a standalone. You do not have to hear the rest of the books in the King series to enjoy Smoke's story.
I'm a man without a conscience. I deal in murder and mayhem. I'm the best at what I do. Frankie Helburn is supposed to be an easy job. A means to flush her father out of hiding. Simple.
Except there isn't anything simple about Frankie or the secrets she's keeping. She's stubborn as hell and the sexiest god damn thing I have ever seen, sending dark, dirty animalistic desire coursing through my veins. She's cocaine with legs.
A f--king addiction that makes me question things I've never questioned before. Want things I've never wanted before. I might have her, but she isn't mine to keep. If her father doesn't show his face, she will be mine. To kill.

Great story
Another great story in this series. Loved the characters and the journey they endure. Lots of twists and turns!! ❤️❤️
I would reread the book but not listen to the audio again as the female narration bugged me. It seemed to be set so she talked very slowly. I had to increase the speed which meant the male narration was slightly too fast. Whilst I changed the speed per chapter when I could, my overall listening experience was reduced considerably.

Good - but last couple of hours let it down a bit
Enjoyed this book and probably would have given it 5 stars but the last couple of hours seemed like they were written in a hurry. That section was like a cheesy action film with lots of very fortunate miraculous survival moments, and certain plot points completely brushed over which really merited at least a scene to discuss them, and some villains that were a bit too stereotypical. Any normal book and I would have capped it at 3 stars, but I genuinely really enjoyed it for the most part. Wish Frazier had a bit more time to complete the book properly though!

Fantastic!!
What another wild ride T.M Frazier took us on with Up In Smoke.
We have met Smoke before in previous books but only briefly.
Now we have a chance to get to know him more and the woman who turns his head.
Frankie a computer whizz and hacker,Smoke takes her hostage to find her father who owes a lot of money to bad people.Smoke is the hired help by one of those bad men and his job is to keep Frankie hostage to make her father come out of the shadows.
But Smoke has his own agenda with Frankie 's father a very personal one.
But all is not as it seems.
There are many twists and turns.
Plus Smoke and Frankie have a chemistry between them that just won't quit...and once that passion is set free all bets are off.
Troy Duran and Lucy Rivers are Magnificent!!
Their narration portraying these characters is nothing but perfection,I loved it.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Up In Smoke, and I highly recommend it.
Brilliant.

It was good but I was hoping for more
I love the King book series, however, the story line of this book was not as developed as the other ones in the King series. There were situations that I thought needed more explanation or development but it never happened, it feels like the book was finished in a hurry and left lots of things hanging.
However, I liked the plot and the characters.
