A beautifully written story that flows well and brings you along for the ride. It’s a quiet story in that very few big things happen but all the small things weave together to draw you in and make you enjoy listening to

Well written/well performed

The story is good but I couldn’t get over how naive, trusting and spineless the main female character was. Couldn’t stand her really.
The first chunk of the story goes back and forth between present and 5 years previously. We find out what happened between the main couple and later on what her family did. The fact she just put up with stuff is utterly ridiculous. Can’t stand Maura.
Good narration, but a male voice would have made it better.

Well narrated and lovely story, it was exactly what I hoped it would be. Perfect as a holiday listen. Light hearted with a sweet happy ending.
