Great introduction to the Human Design centres!
I'm grateful to Robin Winn for her books on human design - I've learned so much about myself through her way of explaining the various details of the chart. I'd admit at times I've found it hard to grasp some of the concepts in this book, but I decided to just go with the flow, absorb what I can & recognise that it's ok if it takes me longer to take it all in & understand it!
Robin references a lot of useful tools that I'd like to take time to come back & try. The book can feel a bit repetitive as an audiobook if you listen to it start to finish as there is constant reference to doing the work of Byron Katie & other things like that, but it's understandable why that's the case - I've used the book as a reference to regularly dip in & out of depending on the centre I wanted to know about so it does no harm to have a reminder of the techniques each time.
The one thing that did drive me a bit nuts was listening to the narrator spell out the resources website address over & over again!! I wish someone had thought of that when formatting this as an audiobook & had reduced the number of times it was said as it gets pretty tedious!!
in terms of the narration, this was read pretty well - steady pace which helped absorbtion of the content. I did find myself switching the speed up to 1.2 for much of the book though, as I found it slightly on the slow side! I did think it was a shame a male narrator was chosen given the fact that Robin - a woman - makes a comparison of an open centre being a bit like being a woman in a man's world....& here we have a woman's book being read by a man! But still - it's not a reason to not listen to this book.
I recommend Robin's books to anyone looking to get a solid grasp of human design, she brings a wonderful, warm, engaging style to her writing.
