About this listen

A vivid glimpse of a Britain's 'brother country' through the eyes of a skeptical outsider, a profound exploration of fraternal love and a gripping journey of the soul. Summer 2008. Forty-year-old Salinger Nash leaves the London house he shares with his girlfriend, Tiane, for his brother's home in New Orleans. Carson Nash has persuaded Salinger that they should find their missing father, Henry- last known location New Mexico. But it is with a sense of foreboding that Salinger sets off with his brother...

Tender, funny, unflinching, this is a road trip story in the great American literary tradition.

This was a very hard book for me to listen to but also gave me some insight into why and how fathers abandon their children, as my own children have been abandoned by their father. Having just finished listening I'm going straight back to the beginning to listen again, as I feel that there are layers of nuance I missed first time round. The narrator is excellent throughout.

Painful listen but worth it.

Story telling at its best - both writer and performer

I don’t understand why there is such a limited number of titles by Tim Lott available on Audible.com
This writer deserves more

A Lott more please
