About this listen

Help transform your business and innovate like the world's top tech companies!

Transformed: Moving to the Product Operating Model was written to bridge the gap between where most companies are right now and where they need to be. The leaders of these companies know they must transform to compete in an era of rapidly changing enabling technology, but most of them have never operated this way before. Transformed has three big goals:

- First, the book will educate you with a deep understanding of the product operating model, and what it means to work that way.

- Second, the book will convince you with detailed case studies of successful transformations, that while difficult, it is absolutely possible for you to transform your company to the product operating model.

- Third, the book will inspire you with truly impressive case studies of product innovation, showing what you too will be capable of doing once you successfully transform.

Written by bestselling author Marty Cagan and his partners at the Silicon Valley Product Group, Transformed is filled with real-world examples and proven, practical advice from their decades of experience helping companies move to the product operating model.

Building on his previous books, but with some new material

Love the core of these books. Sometimes a bit more assertive and “American” than I would prefer, but I’ll happily indulge Marty Cagan there. Really helps the it’s narrated by the author himself. Makes it feel more authentic.

Great that the audiobook is released the same day as the book.

Navigation is tricky though, because there are so many chapters. Would be nice to have the chapters named, and maybe a table of contents in additional material. Update: chapter naming is now in place, great!

Best starting point for product model

It's so nice that the author also read the book. It makes it feel like a conversation. I feel that the product model is explained better in thia book and hence it's better to start here and then read more details from earlier books.

An enlightening read or listen

This book was perfectly timed for me as I joined a company that ticked a lot of the boxes to describe a company in need of being transformed. There were so many things I could apply in the real world and the case studies added weight to those.

This is definitely on my recommended book list for anyone trying to improve the way product development is carried out.

Excellent case studies

A well put together resource for Product practitioners. I recommend for product managers and non product managers who want to adopt the pros management operations model. A very good read.

Great book for product leaders.

I really recommend it for people stepping up to product leadership roles, and of course, to any CEO.

amazing content and amazing narration. A real must for any product manager

The audiobook doesn't contain right chapter names or number which is really frustrating when I want to go to a specific topic or part. really wish it is fixed or even volunteer to fix it

much evangelising not much actual content

Loved the enthusiasm. Didnt love the cherry picking, extrapolation, waffle, muddled presentation of long established practice.

Good for people without any experience in the Product Model

The principles and frameworks presented in the book are good for a general public interested in learning how to create a product centric organisation. If you are an experience product professional some of the concepts will appear to be basic and repetitive.
