About this listen
Mischief, prank, and mistaken identity take on a new meaning in this delightful concoction by the master of the silver age of Russian literature Dmitrey Merezhkovsky.
Sound interesting? The author thinks so too! Listen to Transformation, and experience the compelling world of short-story fiction.

The way it was written was exactly what I was expecting from a Russian author, rather wordy and with lots of flowery language, however I didn't enjoy the story where a group of men in Florence trick their 'friend' into thinking that he had been 'transformed' into someone else. Personally I regard their actions as more like gaslighting and humiliating the victim and I found the idea of these rather unpleasant people laughing at their 'friend's' discomfort rather nauseating. I suppose that the one thing that it does show is that the practice of 'pranking' or as I prefer to call it 'humiliating' people hasn't changed all that much in several centuries.
The saving grace of this audio book is the narration, which I thought was very well done
Short story about a 'prank' in Florence
