About this listen

The moon blocked the alien asteroid and won us some time. That time is about to run out.

Ethan Hershkowitz had been dying of reebs before a private military company paid for his new cybernetic lungs. His debt was to be paid on a classified mission to the Daallo Mountain crater facility, captured by local pirates. But when the enemy launches reckless attacks from the facility, it appears less like they are defending it, and more like they are trying to escape.

Dr. Tahira Piriyeva has the world's attention as she expounds the true danger of the riebeckite threat. When an old friend unexpectedly offers her the chance to be the first to examine a new sample retrieved from the moon, she puts her speaking tour on hold and hastens to investigate. But the journey is not what it seems, the sample is not what she expects, and the even more horrifying truth about the riebeckites' origins begins to reveal itself.

Torpor's End is the action-packed sequel to Riebeckite.

Excellent Conclusion

Riebekite had me hooked, and Torpor's End takes everything that I loved about it and dials it up another few notches. The eponymous reebs are bigger and bolder and more dangerous than ever, the characters have grown and evolved, and Lea's knowledge of the topics and technology shine on every page. Iv always loved how his characters solve their problems with their intellect, but the action in this book does not pull any punches.

I also have to commend the excellent reading and voice work for the audiobook, this one kept me company on many a rainy morning commute.

Top work, highly recommended. I finally got the riebekaiju I was desperate for!

Great Sci fi novel

I really enjoyed this book, I think it may even be better than the prequel.
I don't think it's necessary to have read the first one, but as in most cases like this it would probably help, and certainly wouldn't hurt, it's a really good read in its own right.
it moves along at a good pace and is full of action and twists.
It's unquestionably worth a go if you like Sci fi and are looking for something a bit different but still a marvelous read (or listen in this case)

Another excellent one.

As usual the author O. R. Lea don’t disappoint and once again his imagination passes all expectations, it’s like all he touches turns into gold.
Once again we are proven that humanity is trash, all people care for is the all mighty dollar and power, instead of working toward science for the improvement of humanity as a race.
Truly an excellent sequel.
On the first I wrote wow,
Double WOW for this one.

Beautiful narration by Natalie Hammond for each of the characters in this creation.

Without a doubt
got my recommendations !!!
