Summary
From the Sunday Times Number One bestselling author of A Discovery of Witches, now a major Sky TV series, a novel about what it takes to become a vampire.
From human to vampire ...
Marcus Whitmore was made a vampire in the eighteenth century. Over two hundred years later, he finds himself in love with Phoebe Taylor, a human who decides to become a vampire herself.
But her transformation will prove as challenging now as it was for Marcus when he first encountered Matthew de Clermont, his sire.
While Phoebe is secreted away, Marcus relives his own journey from the battlefields of the American Revolutionary War, through the treachery of the French Revolution to a bloody finale in New Orleans. His belief in liberty, equality and brotherhood challenged at every stage by the patriarchy of the de Clermonts.
What will he and Phoebe discover in one another when they are finally reunited at Les Revenants, beneath the watchful gaze of Matthew and his wife, Diana Bishop?
Sunday Times Number One bestselling author Deborah Harkness returns to the spellbinding world she created in A Discovery of Witches and, through the prism of an unconventional love story, explores the power of tradition and the endless possibilities for change.

A good book...
I loved the discovery of witches trilogy, so looked forward to this.
Enjoyed learning more about Marcus's past and Pheobies transition. Great to see more of Mathew and Diana.
The narrator worked for Diana but I found the voices of Mathew and Marcus too gruff. Lots going on in this book.

A very nice continuation of the original trilogy.
Slow start but just as engaging as Diana's story. Marcus and Phoebe's story continues. Good narrating performance.

Disappointing
Being a fan of the all souls trilogy I was looking forward to Time’s convert. Firstly I personally found the narration unpleasant, for multiple reasons (pace, characters voices, raspy whispered narration...). I hope audible releases a new version.
The storyline left much to be desired unfortunately.

Times Convert
I have read the trilogy and Times convert plus listened on Audible the trilogy. I found listening to Times Convert book on Audible than reading the physical book.
I have heard some negativity about the Audible version compared to the trilogy Audible but enjoyed this one too.

Nice book shame they changed the narrator
Very disappointed to have Dianna changed to a chain smoker, Marcus and Matthew to Americans and the two children with identical voices and Isabaeu to an ancient woman. The Matthew character gets weaker each book but still a fun story

Good Story but hard listen due to fault.
Good story continues story from All Souls.
There is a problem with the quality. From chapter 7 onwards it is like listening to damaged CD's very jumpy with loss of sound. Did not think this was possible with a download. Like the bad old days of sellotape repairs and scratched CD's.

Didn't enjoy as much.
I didn't get in to this story as easily as the discovery of witches books but am glad that I got to hear Marcus' story. The narrator leaves a lot to be desired. Accents are atrocious

Great continuation of the saga
Loved it, found it odd to have change of narrator initially but soon got over that

great book
great book loved the story really hope theres a 5th book in the series my only gripe is the change in the narrator from the first three books and i know they are kind of a different series but i still found it jarring at first although after the first hour it was fine so i would reccomend.
