Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
Every time we eat, we have the power to radically transform the world we live in.
Our choices can help alleviate the most pressing issues we face today: the climate crisis, infectious and chronic diseases, human exploitation and, of course, non-human exploitation. Undeniably, these issues can be uncomfortable to learn about, but the benefits of doing so cannot be overstated. It is quite literally a matter of life and death.
Through exploring the major ways that our current system of animal farming affects the world around us, as well as the cultural and psychological factors that drive our behaviours, This Is Vegan Propaganda answers the pressing question, is there a better way?
Whether you are a vegan already or curious to learn more, this book will show you the other side of the story that has been hidden for far too long. Based on years of research and conversations with slaughterhouse workers and farmers, to animal rights philosophers, environmentalists and everyday consumers, vegan educator and public speaker Ed Winters will give you the knowledge to understand the true scale and enormity of the issues at stake.
This Is Vegan Propaganda is the empowering and ground-breaking book on veganism that everyone, vegan and sceptic alike, needs to hear.

Eye-opening and troubling
It was disconcerting to reflect on all the meat and dairy industry lies that have gone unconfronted over the years. It seems they've been allowed to mislead consumers for decades free of consequence, all the while causing immense pain and environmental devastation. Hopefully, this excellent book will go some of the way to fighting back!

Excellent
I’ve listened to around 25 audio books about healthy eating, lifestyle and diets over the last 12 months, covering a huge variety of different expert opinions on the best way to eat. I’ve learned lots, but nothing has impacted me more than this book! Save yourself hours of searching and listening and just get this one!
Excellently narrated, Ed points out things in life going on every day that we just accept as normal and challenges them in an insightful and surprising way. I keep telling everyone I know to listen to it!

Eye opening. Well written, researched and delivered.
An eye opening look at the challenges facing the world and conditioning we experience growing up in this society.
Well written/spoken. Gives you different perspectives than we are taught / marketed to and covers the challenges vegans face with their family and friends.
The issues males face in society were we are targeted by marketers convincing us we need to consume baby animals to be a ‘real’ man.
Covers the nutritional, environmental and most importantly the moral issues faced today.
All backed up with facts, figures and research by top organisations.

Really great book
As a vegan I loved this book, I felt validated and heard for many reasons and would recommend to any vegan or veggie thinking about veganism. I'd like to double check some facts to get the other side and a balanced view/context but it was very enlightening.

Well read and informative
Brilliant insight into the world we live in and the horrors propagated by agriculture industries. Good arguments for being vegan that make me all the more glad that I made that change a year ago, and importantly highlighting the injustice in the world (that I'd like to do something about) that needs to be shared more openly to hopefully change it. The most horrifying part to learn about was probably the blatant disregard to life and sanctity/efficacy of antibiotics all done for profit by industry leaders and workers alike, producing waste and disease that affects us all.

An absolute must read!
This book is so thorough and well explained, it is a very welcome invitation to question the habits we grew up with and never thought about. It also comes at a time where a shift in paradigm is desperately needed and this book explains why and how to do it, as well as reasoning through all the reasons one might feel held back by, to cast light on how easy this change is and what a huge impact it can have
