Summary
The Wrexham Killings
When a young woman is discovered in Wrexham covered in someone else’s blood, it seems that a horrendous crime has been committed. The only questions are who and where. But there’s a major problem. She can’t remember a thing–not even her name! Once the grisly crime has been uncovered, the Llancastell CID team must track down the killer before they strike again.
The Wrexham Killings is the sixteenth book in Simon McCleave’s DI Ruth Hunter Crime Thriller Snowdonia series which has now hit over 2 million sales. If you like chilling police procedurals, true-to-life characters, and psychological twists, then you’ll love Simon McCleave’s gripping thrill ride. Perfect for fans of JD Kirk, JM Dalgleish, Rachel McLean and LJ Ross.

Fantastic
Absolutely love this series of Di Ruth Hunter. I think this twisty one might be my favourite so far, well played out indeed. Everything you'd expect of a film to be honest with the shocker twists not just saved for the end and cliffhanger.... 😁 Loved it!!!

Simon Cleave keeps you on the edge of your seat once more
I love the way in which the author keeps readers engaged with many twists and turns right to the end. I live in the Wrexham area and McLeave's location descriptions are true to life which adds to the story's authenticity. This series of novels are a very worthwhile use of your Audible credits.
The only dissapointment was the narrator's 'generic Welsh' accent. The Wrexham dialect is very particular and differs greatly from the South Walian used throughout. Come on Audible, stop being lazy. You wouldn't give a Yorkshire accent to a Brummie character. I picked up on the same issue when I listened to Anglesey Blue.

Great story , brilliant character, excellent narration
I love this series of books, but they are a bit short, i think twice about buying because its a short listen for my 1 monthly credit. Would love the next one to be a little longer but at book 15 or 16 series i'm invested

Plenty of Red Herrings
This book contained two stories going on at the same time.
It was a real page Turner with plenty of red herrings and an explosive end.
I would highly recommend this crime thriller.

Another nite biting book. What a roller coaster ride. Highly recommend this series, it just gets better and better. I'm off to down load the next one. I need to know what's happened to Ruth.

Excellent as always!
Simon McCleave has done it again! He is such a fantastic writer and I look forward to every new book so much!! The characters are like old friends and their stories so real and never ‘glossed over’ I’m dreading the day when there is no cliffhanger at the end of the book because this will mean it really is the end!! Deryn Edwards brings the stories to life as well - her drama and use of dialects and accents is second to none - no one else could do these books justice!!

Is this meant to be a serious book?
I’m not sure I’ve ever read (heard) anything quite so ridiculous in a long time, if ever.
Completely improbable plot, and I use the term loosely. I half expected Paul Gascoigne to pop up with his fishing gear and a chicken supper to talk the perpetrator into surrendering.
Do people really charge around the country, screaming “I’m gonna blow your head off.
I can’t believe the narrator got through this rubbish without laughing. Still, I suppose we all have to earn a living somehow.
