Summary
With characteristic humility, His Holiness the Dalai Lama begins this landmark survey of the entire Buddhist path by saying, "I think an overview of Tibetan Buddhism for the purpose of providing a comprehensive framework of the path may prove helpful in deepening your understanding and practice."
In this book the Dalai Lama delivers a presentation that is both concise and profound, accessible and engaging. As listeners explore Tibetan Buddhism more fully than ever before, they will find in His Holiness a great friend and authority.

One of the best introductions to Tibetan Buddhism
One of the best introductions to Tibetan Buddhism. A must read, over and over, to grasp some of the concepts. But well worth it. Now, I wonder...... hehe

Fascinating overview, including tantra
Fascinating overview of Tibetan Buddhism, including how it fits into the larger Buddhist context, and what distinguishes it, as well as covering different schools of thought within Tibetan Buddhism. It gives a lot of interesting information on tantra/vajrayana practices, which are especially interesting and unique

Didn’t get much from it
Interesting to hear this overview of Tibetan Buddhism, but I found that I didn’t get much from this book, either in feeling that I have a clear overview of the subject or in terms of coming away with any useful insights, concepts or techniques.
It seemed to be mainly listing the activities that are done, in relevant order, but missing out on what those activities really are, what their purpose is, and how they fit into the bigger picture and what the purpose of that bigger picture is too.
I still have no idea of the purpose or benefits of anything that was covered in this book.

Needs editing
This would’ve been good had the author stuck to the title of the book and not padded out the book and had dedicated chapters on Buddha and Buddhism is general

The narration is too fast
This is a buddhist text, therefore I think most people want to listen to this to learn and to contemplate. The narrator is reading it so fast, I found it difficult to think for a second about what I was hearing. There is little pause in the narration. If I could get a refund, then I would be asking for one. What a dissappointment.
