A good escapist read
I do listen to a range of books and at the
Moment I am working my way through these with some delight. Partly because the narrator is excellent and the story is not so predictable. There is some good links to other books without having to read them all but it’s nice to hear the other characters

Charming plot …
The story line is charming and is rather entertaining…
I simply find that the story could have done with less sex - occasionally one feels to listen to a soft porn
I am not prude BUT this is a period drama after all and I doubt that this would have happened in this period …
But apart from this - A CHARMING STORY

Wonderful storytelling
Loved the narration - she brings the characters to life and communicates the humour really well.
The story could have had a bit more tension between the leads but all resolved in the end as it should.

Just... wow!
At first this seemed like just another light cosy regency read, but the plot and character development, lifted to brilliance by an incredible narrator, made it one of my favourite listens ever! The steam is on point, the humour is witty and the dialogue felt so honest and real... the whole series is enchanting, but this book is a true gem!

Lovely Listen!
I can't remember how I found this book and author but I wish I had sooner.
I adore historical romances and this one had extra laughs and spice whilst underneath the story was expertly woven.
The narrator did an outstanding job and I can still hear the parrot in my head.
