In my life, I have always believed in self care, and I appreciate that the author hones in on this. It is true, we need to love ourselves regardless of our size or shape or color. She points out the myths, which I did not even know much about. We are all unique and deserve value.
One of my favorite sections was about how when we take care of ourselves, we can gain focus and clarity. I agree with this! That, along with grounding are good take-aways from the book.
The author shares very good steps for compassion of yourself, and amazing affirmations. I can see myself listening to these quite often. It will help me to stop trying to be perfect, and be me.
The narrator is very good, which is key to an audio book! Recommend this book highly!
