About this listen
Coleen Greenwood was overjoyed to meet James Scott, a heroic firefighter and man of her dreams. Little would she know her dreams would soon become a nightmare as his web of lies started to unravel.
The astonishing true story of one man’s lies and a family’s fight for justice.
This is the full untold story that was made into the BBC Sounds podcast series “Love-Bombed with Vicky Pattison” which reached No1 in the UK Apple podcasts playlist within the first week of its release. This story has been made into several television documentaries.

“In my 23 years of policing, I have never encountered a man as manipulative as Greg Wilson... a compulsive liar who has shown absolutely no remorse... If somebody wrote this as a script for Coronation Street, it would be too outrageous.” – Detective Constable Chris Bentham

Gripping
Fabulous listen from start to finish and read so well I felt I was in the experience myself.
The lies and manipulation that Coleen and her family went through goes way behind anyone's comprehension.
Absolutely gripping.. I want to say storyline as it is hard to comprehend all of this actually happened. But this is the reality of a manipulating relationship full of lies and deceipt from start to finish.
This is by far the greatest listen of any of my Adible titles and will be listening to the follow up story next.

fascinating story, middling narration
I found the narrator's voice too soft and slow (even at 1.3x speed), but not bad enough for a return. the story was interesting, although details like the colour of a handbag and similar are completely superfluous in my view.

I couldn't stop listening.
A most interesting story, well written and the narrator was excellent. What a horrible and despicable person this Greg Wilson was and is. It is incomprehensible the things he did to Colleen, her sister and family. He should have received a longer sentence wrecking people's lives like that. I wish Colleen well and family.

The sheer scale of this is mind blowing
What an incredible (and terrible) story. If this were fiction, people would say it was too far fetched.
A really important read to raise awareness of the type of behaviour that is "love bombing", and show people how far an abusive person will go to get what they want.
I couldn't stop listening. I needed to know "what next".
Really well put together and beautifully narrated.

Excellent learning for women victims
The book was a fabulous read with lots of twists and turns.
Unbelievable story .
You have to read the book to believe this guy obsolunt fraudster. Seriously unbelievable.
I do not want to comment about his crimes and lies. Read the book to find out. "Unbelievable"
I am so pleased the twin sisters maintained strength and support for his other victims. There have also been some positive relationships formed as a result of these crimes and lies.
Both of you were very unlucky but blessed with such a loving family.
Go Charlie you sound like you are an adorable child. This little boy is the most positive part to come from this story.
Sending ongoing strength to all victims.
The story will have you gripped from start to finish.
Excellent "eye opener for all women"
Thank you to the sisters for writing the book hope you both have been able to find closure.

engaging story of betrayal
The red flag should have been when he announced that he was a Sunderland fan! jokes aside, being historically a lady's man myself I was absolutely shocked at the level of atrocious scammery in this story. What an absoloute toad of a man. This wrongun is the Walter Mitty of modern times. I know a guy just like this bloke. However, his beautiful wife sticks by him regardless. it's such a shame. I'm glad this lady found a way out. Excellent narration throughout. Thanks for telling your story. I hope your lives are filled with happiness and free of regret.
