Summary

Her past—a single nightmare. A look into her future shows: it could be even worse.

She does everything she can to change it. The prince has lost his father, his home castle, and his land. He is rich only in enemies. King Schohtar's superior force storms the last wall. No artifact and no magic will help against it this time.

One of the most powerful armies in Krosann's history is rolling toward Karek's last refuge. The Hand of the Swordmaster is desperately searching for a way out behind Winterbridge walls.

Bolkan Katerron finds himself back where he once fled: in the middle of the game of murder, power, and betrayal.

The conclusion of the bestselling saga.

A satisfying end

I’ve really been looking to the final instalment of this saga and it didn’t disappoint. Loved it, but now feeling strangely melancholy that it’s finished…

A delightful adventure

I started this series straight after reading The Grave diggers Son and the Waif girl. The clever humour of that series is in this saga too. Sam makes you fall in love with his characters. they are all so different, but all so relatable. I love the descriptive nick names, the wit and humour. Absolutely brilliant
