**THE GRIPPING SECOND NOVEL FROM ROB RINDER AND FOLLOW-UP TO NO. 1 BESTSELLER THE TRIAL**

When the UK's favourite breakfast TV presenter dies live on air in front of millions of viewers, the nation is left devastated.

More devastated still when it becomes clear that her death was not an accident.

The evidence points to one culprit: celebrity chef Sebastian Brooks. But junior barrister Adam Green is about to discover that the case is not as open-and-shut as it first seemed.

And although her angelic persona would suggest otherwise, she was not short of enemies in the glittery TV world . . .

Can Adam uncover the truth?

it was ok

I love Rob Rinder for his personality, experience, intelligence. I enjoyed his first book mostly and eagerly awaited this one's release. But sadly I've got to say it was a bit boring. (My school headmaster won't appreciate me using that word, sorry Mr Towne.) Some places picked up and were good, but I sometimes found my mind wandering when normally books grip me all through. That being said, I'd buy his next one.

Love this series

I’m already looking forward to the third book.
The only criticism - this also applies to the first book but on listening to the second it’s unfortunately really clear - the narrator makes an ok job of a great book. I think he is how Adam himself would sound, a little weak if I’m really honest!
R.R. has some characters that would be much funnier (Adams mother for example) and sharper with better narration.
The narrator is AWFUL at accents as well. I can imagine if this was read by someone like Steven Fry it would be hilarious.
R.R. states in the foreword that he has used artistic licence for some situations and I really hope this is in the places where I loose all faith in the British justice system but he is certainly not to blame for that!
It shows what great stories they are that the narration is only a slight disappointment and would not put me off anything else R.R. writes in the future.

Another great read

Story is engaging and didn’t see most of the twists coming. Great listen and the narrators performance superb

Fascinating insight into the courtrooms

Intriguing story, very well put together and kept me entertained to the end. Love the phone calls between Adam and his mother. Can not wait for the next one.

Plausible legal thriller

Listened solidly over a weekend decluttering. Great company. Good story rolled along briskly. Well performed too.

A lovely jaunt into Chambers

I actually really enjoyed this book. Nothing life-changing or groundbreaking but entertaining and I liked the timbre of the narrators voice.

Great to be behind the scenes of justice. Loved it.

Love the characters, attention to the smallest detail brings this to life..seeing the workings from
Both sides. Can’t wait till the 3rd book..

Enjoyable Second Adam Green Story

Another great Adam Green story. Hooks you in and keeps you entertained throughout. I particularly love all the legal detail that comes with the author being a barrister. It moved on nicely from the first book and again, another excellent twist at the end.

Great book 2

Flawless read, great story, reminded me of why I left law school after 2 years- loved the stories, I’m confident all barristers will relate.
