About this listen
Oxford, Spring - 1354.
When the series of accidents to the building of the chapel at Queen’s College begin, they do not appear a cause for concern, but they grow more serious, and stonemasons are injured. Nicholas Elyot becomes involved after it is discovered that an intruder has reached the college by way of his garden. When Jordain Brinkylsworth’s youngest student goes missing, it seems at first that his disappearance is unconnected, yet he is one of the ‘poor boys’ supported by Queen’s. Surely this serious and studious boy cannot be responsible for the troubles?
And then someone is killed.
©2018 Ann Swinfen (P)2018 Ann SwinfenI have grown to love Nicholas so much, along with his family, friends, and the "will they - Won't they" love story with the Lady Emma.
She leaves us a series of six wonderful books, full of life, full of history, full of great adventures
I guess the Author has left us forever wanting more.

Agonisingly obvious story but lovely family descriptions as always

There are unanswered questions to the characters lives as Mrs. Swinfen died before completing the story arc. Very sad. Philip Battley does a good job narrating for the most part, sometimes his voice characterisations are muddled and difficult to discern who the speaker is.
It is clear that this story was not meant to be the series finale, but worth a listen.
Good story
