Exciting and emotive from start to finish!
Wow, what a bargain you get here - 6 books for one credit, a brilliant alien invasion apocalypse story with non-stop action and a great narrator. you become quickly invested in the characters, their personalities (which are portrayed excellently by the narrator), their relationships and their stories.
I loved this from start to finish and a shout out that it mentioned my home town of Stoke! I don't come across that very often at all!
it's very rare that I shed a tear at a book but I did have one rolling down my face near the end of book 6.
however there were too many laugh out loud moments to mention too, from start to finish.
I cannot recommend this series highly enough!

A truly British apocalyptic story
I love listening to apocalyptic stories but this is the first really British interpretation of the end of the world. Yes, it is corny, coincidental and comedic in places but the characters wound themselves into my heart and I truly will miss them and their adventures. There was seepage of philosophy, politics and even yoga but all done with heaps of British humour, tolerance and compassion. The start was a bit off- putting, some of the accents stereotypes but a great, great listen.

brilliant
loved every minute and characters you got to no I was sad one my favourite didn't make it ..this is first time I've listened to a book with monster type characters thought no harm given it ago . left me looking for more lol and narrator was perfect well done

Give it a chance and you’ll be rewarded
For first couple chapters I wasn’t sure if it was for me or not as felt initially it was over the top and not taking itself seriously enough. However I was pleasantly surprised when before I knew it , I was hooked and really invested into the characters and the story.
First few books are truly ace and character arcs / development is paced nicely with characters that you can relate to and empathise with.
The last couple books lost me though. The charm and tension seemed to be lost and it became harder to maintain interest in the story and for the conclusion.
The narrator was superb and genius in how he could switch between regional accents so seamlessly.
Overall I do recommend this series, it’s different, fun and well written.
