This adorable book contains two stories from classic American writer and artist Peter Newell. Newell's illustrations appeared in the illustrated works of Lewis Carroll and Mark Twain. Aside from illustrating for others, he was a great writer in his own right.

The Slant Book recounts a fun story about a boy who is riding in his out-of-control go-cart as it rolls downhill.
