Read the book long ago so when I saw the audible was for sale I grabbed it.

Great story, well presented. Will be buying the next in the series soon enough.

Enjoyable

I tried my best, but after the labouriously boring first book, the writing just wore me down.

I have fond memories of reading Modesitt Jr's Recluce novels as a kid. But this is a boring series of events with a main character that everyone loves for no discernable reason. It's like watching a Mary Sue get all the adoration without even the laughable overpowered-ness to back it up. Why is this character?? Really not my cup of tea.

So boring I had to stop 2/3 of the way through
