Slow, first half, but you really get to know the characters. I am usually usually pretty good and guessing the ending this one surprised me. Very well written.

A gripping book full of twists and turns. It took a while to set the scene with all the characters but it was worth it as the story progressed. The complex interrelationships layered against an intriguing plot made for a great story.

I really liked the book and listened to it almost in one sitting. I thought the narrators were fine except for the swallowing and mouth noises both the female and male narrators made throughout. It may seem a picky small point but it was so off-putting and distracting. I was dreading and pre-empting it happening. It did spoil the listen for me. That aside I thought the storyline was good which kept me listening.

This was my 1st time listening to Hannah’s writing- she is so good that I cant wait to listen to more.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters and understanding why they behaved in the way that they did. I loved her knowledge of Cornwall and felt she really understood what life is like for those of us that live in the county. I would love to know more in a sequel please! Well worth a read
