Summary

Please note: This is a short book (7,000 words)

The Satanic Narratives: A Modern Satanic Bible is a foundational text thoroughly deconstructing Satan, the adversarial archetype and the individualism of the Left-Hand Path. This updated Satanic Bible marks a reformation in the religion of Satanism, accessible to the average listener and philosopher alike. Satanists who struggled to find meaning in LaVey's Rand-inspired social Darwinism, will embrace this new focus on activism and social justice.

While the skepticism and secular ethics mirror that of Humanism, this Satanic philosophy goes much further: incorporating rebellion, unrelenting perseverance, being the outcast, the individualist, and the adversary. The characteristics of each aspect of the Satan archetype are meticulously explained and linked to the philosophy presented. This not only justifies why it is worthy of the name "Satanism", but also answers the question of why it can only be called "Satanism".

Short. Lacking substance.

A short interesting piece, more an essay than a book which References both La Veys bible and TST but fails to build much on either of them. Outside of pointing out that the social aspect of rallying ones self with like minded and supportive individuals is an aspect of survival of the fittest, rather than relying on personal power alone, it doesn't really say anything but "find your own path, your personal version of Satanism."

Easy Learning

I'ce listend to these Naratives Many times. The book outlines the teachung very well incorparating metaphores & easy to understand wording. The quality of the sound is more of SD than HD is my only downside comment. However it is still a good listen, I would recomend.

celebrates the individual but not selfishness

more a philosophical treatise, but very well reasoned and researched. very accessible to the listener and not in the slightest preachy. highlights the role of individualism and one's own search for ethics and moral meaning. what's not to like about that!

great stuff

This book has shed some light on a part of philosophy I didn't see before. I've learned more from this short book than I have in some lengthy scientific literature.
