About this listen
Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of The Rise of Nine by Pittacus Lore, read by Neil Kaplan, Devon Sorvari, and Marisol Ramirez.
Until I met John Smith, Number Four, I’d been on the run alone, hiding and fighting to stay alive. Together we are much more powerful. But it could only last so long before we had to separate to find the others...
I went to Spain to find Seven, and I found even more, including a tenth member of the Garde who escaped from Lorien alive. Ella is younger than the rest of us, but just as brave. Now we’re looking for the others - including John. But so are they. They caught Number One in Malaysia. Number Two in England. And Number Three in Kenya. They caught me in New York - but I escaped. I am Number Six.
They want to finish what they started. But they’ll have to fight us first.

The Lorien Legacies become so repetitive

However: This performance started out badly and got steadily worse. Why oh why when there were both male and female performers available did they have the male do such bad female voices and vice versa? I simply don't understand why the 'would be performers' felt the need to grotesquely overstrain for emphasis, since the words on the page already supplied it.
I would seriously advise anyone to read the book(s) instead of this/these.
Finally, when I didn't think it could get any worse, some moron decided to add a series of character expositions in the worst possible audio quality imaginable.
(The producer deserves to go bankrupt and worse. You have been warned !)
All of the Books are Decidedly Better

What disappointed you about The Rise of Nine?
recycled story line. TERRIBLE epilogue where we are "enlightened" by a radio transmission by Psittacus Lore!!!!What could Pittacus Lore have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
