Wow wow wow I currently have no words I and writing this as I have just finished the book. Another amazing book by holly Jackson the mystery and shock through out the book. A slow start but then it ramped up and toward the end the fast pace things moved quickly and the clues just kept coming. Just as I thought I had cracked the case when I turned the next page my theory was squashed and I was left confused again until slowly through the look still lots of suprises and omg moments and an ending I wasn’t expecting I’m just glad that carter Rachel and bel got there happy ending.

I really connected with the characters just as I did with her other books with pip.

This wasn’t my first thriller mystery and will not be my last holly jackson you she. Helped me find my love for books again

Really good story, didn't know what to expect from the ending , didn't know which way it would go. Very much enjoyed it.
I also enjoyed the attempt at the British accent, very Zooey Deschanel in New Girl when she tries a British accent. Think "Gor blimey governor". But in all seriousness, the performance otherwise was very good, I actually found this book by searching for the narrator because I loved their storytelling for a another book.

Great story

No other words needed! 1000% worth it! Loved every second of it and a nice long listen aswell!

Amazing!

Great plot full of twists and turns but the narrator is not great- the different accents, particularly the English ones, are terrible and off-putting.

Full of delicious twists!

Good book, narrator was on the whole good but the English accent was soooo off :( bit distracting at times

I usually love Holly Jackson’s books, but this one felt like a whole trilogy crammed into one — dragged on far too long, with every nook and cranny described in full. The plot had promise, but it could’ve done with a good trim.

The narration was top-notch overall. People moaned about the British accent, and honestly, they were a bit dramatic — it wasn’t terrible, just not great. Not award-winning, but far from dreadful. Still, the performance kept me going. Without it, I might’ve packed it in.

Would’ve made a cracking 90–120 min film.

Great idea - lost in the details

Easy listening and good story. I just felt like the last part was dragged out quite a bit. The narrator’s British accent needed a lot of work 😬

Easy listen

Very gripping and well paced thriller. The exposition drops, especially toward the end, somewhat dampen the impact of how well the reveals are plotted throughout but I suppose it can be forgiven, given the YA audience it’s aimed at.

Surprisingly gripping

You won’t be disappointed, a real page turner with a gripping plot with plenty of twists.

Another great story

Enjoyed the story as much as any of the Good Girl books - gripping and twisty throughout. Audiobook makes you notice elements of repetitive writing though - how many times can a voice “hitch”?! And the British accents were really poor which took me out of it at times. But mostly I was looking forward to getting back to the story so overall recommend!

Great Story, Dodgy Accents!
