Let's be honest. How can you know where you're going if you don't know where you are.

Many books give advice on what to do, how to think and who to be but not many help you understand who you are at a core level. I've found this to be the most essential information to understand. It helps you work to your strengths and appreciate others who are natural in to traits you don't excel at.

Well read, Great information. Highly recommended.

Finally a book that made a difference.

OMG! I just finished listening to "The Power of Understanding Yourself" - currently listening to "The Power of Understanding People - and I need to express my joy and gratitude.
Being a Romanian, it is easy to choose the chapter that describes the trip to Transilvania as my favorite part of the book, I laughed so fully that I felt the need to listen to it twice.
Best yet, the book has so many funny moments. Definitely the funniest, most enjoyable personal development book I ever read.

Thank you. Dave Mitchell!

this is a frustrating book. it shows so much promise but unfortunately the over use of wine as a reference point is both distracting and annoying. it feels like the author really wanted to write a book about wine, but instead hijacked a self help guide for their own benefit. I found the constant references to wine distracting and irrelevant, especially as I not a wine drinker and have absolutely no desire to learn about the means of production. if the wine chatter was interspersed with other reference examples then it wouldn't have seem so frustrating, but instead the author goes to town on wine. I have up. I lost the enjoyment early on but stuck with it. but there's only so much sommelier talk I could take. your mileage may vary, but I think the powerful messages that could be hidden in this book are masked so much I couldn't see them.

too much wine, not enough substance
