Summary

Once upon a time, in a parallel universe, there existed the continent of Triton....

The prophecy has begun. The Beast has been stirred. And Triton is in turmoil.

Our four warriors and four witches, destined mates, have begun their adventure, knowing the fate of their world is at stake, but not having any idea there are other factions plotting against them.

Now they face political intrigues, religious zealotry, father against son, wife against husband, a mother’s plotting, a sister’s envy, grief, betrayal, and despair as the prophesied journey across the sands of Firenze into the lush green of Wodell.

The lovers are united, but their stories have just begun. They know the battle ahead will be a fierce one they cannot lose.

What they don’t know is a diabolical plan has commenced....

And no one is safe.

About the Creator

Kristen Ashley is the New York Times bestselling author of over 80 romance novels. She’s a hybrid author, publishing titles both independently and traditionally. Her books have been translated into 14 languages and she’s sold millions of books. In March, she released The Girl in The Woods, the second in her romantic thriller series Misted Pines. Her latest audiobook is Perfect Together, a second-chance romance that will break your heart and then put it back together stronger than before. She also published Too Good To be True, her first-ever murder mystery romance in an episodic format on Kindle Vella. Kristen, born in Gary and raised in Brownsburg, Indiana, was a fourth-generation graduate of Purdue University. Since, she has lived in Denver the West Country of England, and she now resides in Phoenix. She worked as a charity executive for 18 years prior to beginning her independent publishing career. She now writes full-time. Although romance is her genre, the prevailing themes running through all of Kristen’s novels are friendship, family, and a strong sisterhood. To this end, and as a way to thank her readers for their support, Kristen has created the Rock Chick Nation, a series of programs designed to give back to her readers and promote a strong female community. Love Kristen Ashley books but this series is something else

The performances of every single narrator in this cast is outstanding and brings this amazing story to life with intensity. I really enjoyed the very adult scenes too. The entire story is epic.

Completely hooked!!

Loving this series so much. I’m completely engrossed in it. Would definitely recommend to any Kristen Ashley fans. Someone commented that the sex seemed forced. I disagree, I think it’s bloomin 🔥🔥🔥

Book 2 = Fantastic!

I don't usually enjoy multicast audio books, but this has been fantastic. The story and characters are growing and developing often in ways I didn't imagine.
I plan on starting book 3 tonight! 🤩

Brilliant telling of an epic tale

This second instalment in this epic tale continues to have everything thing you could wish for. There is intrigue and suspense set against wonderfully crafted descriptions of place along with Kristen Ashley's deft hand at creating the intimately intense feelings of her characters. On top of this the cast of narrators is exceptional.

3.5 stars

Mostly good book, but a lot of the sex seemed forced into the book to titillate, rather than it adding to the story - and not all of it came across that naturally. Also, having rape as a plot mechanism just seems distasteful and gratuitous and many other scenarios could have served the same purpose in the book. Using rape to sell books is just off.
