Timløess Wisdom for the Modern Age
I've always wondered about Stoicism because I study topics around the Bible and apostle Paul meant some Stoics in Athens. So it was wonderful to listen to this book which not only tells about Stocism but gives us advice on how we can apply some of the practices of Stocism in our daily lives. Some of the wisdom of the Stoics is timeless and sometimes the principles sounded like what we are learning in modern-day motivational talks, especially for example on self-control and accepting the things you can not control. This book is clearly narrated and includes practical exercises so you can use stoical ideas to improve your modern life. It teaches from well-known historical philosophers like Marcus Aurelius and Seneca. I highly recommend this book if you are interested in Roman History, The New Testament or philosophy or just want timeless wisdom to improve your life.

A Practical Guide to Staying Calm
This book gave me a fresh perspective on handling life’s challenges. The techniques are simple to understand but push you to think deeply about your reactions and mindset. I’ve started applying some of the practices, and I’m already feeling more grounded and less reactive to stress. It’s not overly preachy, which I appreciated—it feels like advice from a wise friend. If you’re looking to build mental strength and find more peace, this is a solid pick.

A new look at living a life of virtue
A really stimulating book that looked at the writings of the stoics and also modern understanding of how to be happy and well. Getting these two perspectives really made the content so compelling. Highly recommend.

Simple ways to use time-tested principles
This book is the perfect blend of ancient wisdom and modern practicality. What I appreciated most was how the book is designed for immediate application. The exercises are straightforward yet profound. The section on cultivating the four cardinal virtues—wisdom, courage, justice, and temperance—was especially interesting. Each principle is broken down into simple steps that anyone can do, even if you're busy.
This book is practical and empowering. It's great for anyone looking to thrive in the chaos of modern life.

Peace of mind
When I was younger, I would dream of if I was successful, if I did well in my career, if I had the power, I would conquer anything. Only to find out, that it was never the money, the fame, and the power we should be after. It was the peace of mind.
