Summary
"He loads his head full of coal and diamonds shoot out of his finger tips. What a trick. The mole genius has left us with another digest. It's a full house - read 'em and weep." - Tom Waits
Bukowski's mad immortal origins, surfaced from the literary underground, have addicted legions of audiences who've recognized Bukowski as one of America's greatest realist writers and poets.
OBIE winner Will Patton (Remember the Titans, The Good Wife, Armageddon) recreates Bukowski in his visceral prime, along with every eye-popping character in his life, each adversary, lover, and stranger in a lost city.
Charles Bukowski is one of America's best-known contemporary writers of poetry and prose, and, many would claim, its most influential and imitated poet. He was born in Andernach, Germany, and raised in Los Angeles, where he lived for 50 years. He published his first story in 1944, when he was 24, and began writing poetry at the age of 35. He died in San Pedro, California, on March 9, 1994, at the age of 73, shortly after completing his last novel, Pulp.

Excellent Narration
Excellent narration I probably would of given up if this wasn’t so well read. An enjoyable listen good stories mixed with the not so good stories.

Bukowski! At his best
Superb narration. You will be thrown into a world of Buk’s poetry and short stories, feeling as if you’re being read to by… dare I say… a better oral Bukowski! I’ve heard others which sound too much like Bukowski, but the dynamic for crawling into a story is sometimes better when not read by the author. Will Patton provides a dynamic to all characters to create an overall sense of being part of the story, immersing yourself in the story as a watcher and listener. Thank you, Will!

A match made in heaven
Will Patton and Charles Bukowski, a match made in heaven. Filthy dirty and enjoyable writing that Mr Patton turned into a masterpiece.
If your offended then stay away but if you can enjoy the ramblings of a drunk and foul mouthed antihero then this is for you.
I’ll let this stew and listen again meanwhile I’ll find some more Bukowski to refresh my palette.
Brilliant writing and Patton makes it sound like it was written for audio.

Dull
Collection of profanities and every “ism” there is. Once you get past the novelty of the foul language, it’s actually quite boring. Clint Eastwood’s poor relation does a good job of reading it.
