I chose this book because of my job working with Autistic children. I feel the Author shared a decent understanding of the main characteristics of someone that is on the Autism spectrum. It was a decent listen but it was the Author that really sold the book for me. He really made it a worthwhile listen for me.

This book ends well although one of the three characters’ story doesn’t really come to any conclusion. But otherwise I felt it was very slow and to be honest there’s not really much story to it. I think this is because the author wanted three stories in one but instead of a cohesive web of interlocking stories we just have three separate stories that don’t really come to much. I wouldn’t recommend this book

Annoying start-chapter 1 is character 1, Chapter 2 is character 2 etc so it’s slow start & not good narrative plus the characters are all awful. From the boring copper who wees in the sink, has a curry and watches porn in bed (ew) to having to listen to the constant internal monologue of someone who, due to being autistic is very detailed even down to the constant masturbation, no joke-too much- and still boring- even the murder was dull. I was so relieved when chapter 3 was a new and different character but she too is awful and boring so I had to stop.
I will never know what happens to the man on the middle floor but I really don’t care. Wish I had spent my time listening to an interesting murder mystery with intriguing characters and a good narrative. Not this lot of dullards. Audible won’t let me mark zero stars but I would if I could.
