I was too little to watch when Miami Vice first aired, and only finally watched the whole series last year. It's a little bit expensive on streaming, so we had to hunt down a dvd box set! It's actually a really fun show, I fully understand the hype at the time. I thought it might be fun to listen to this book about it, and I was right. It's actually a really fascinating peek at how TV used to be made. You'll find yourself filled with random production facts, like "Did you know, the Miami Vice office had the only collating and stapling Xerox machine in all of Southern Florida?" "He used a Moog!" "Michael Mann's entire office was painted black and his desk was shaped like a giant paint palette!". "The guy who played Zito had a cat named Pansy!" "Philip Michael Thomas wrote a self help new age pamphlet called 'Perfectionistics!". "Olivia Brown ran a cool art gallery and made styrofoam art!!" .... I loved it!!! The chapters alternate between interviews with production staff and the stars. A really enjoyable listen that kept me interested.
