About this listen

Tanner is a country boy who is pressed into the army due to the upcoming battle with the powerful kingdom of Tavor. During his training, Tanner insults a powerful magic user and is scheduled to die in a duel with said mage as a result. It was during this battle that Tanner discovered a power not seen before - the ability to dispel magic. Tanner quickly gains the attention of the king, who wants to use Tanner as a guard to protect his daughter and as an assassin to fight against the mages of Tavor.

One of a kind

This is a typical example of a fantasy book. However this one goes one better. Most have the MC being educated and growing in status. Their language changes and gets proper. Now this is where this gets better! The MC goes through hardships and heartbreak. He speaks his mind in no uncertain terms. And finally a MC gets even and holds to his ways.
The narrator did a fantastic job bringing it to life. This is one I’ll probably listen to way too many times. 😂

Oh rare to find a 5 star gem

Really good story. Pacing is perfect. Characters are well developed. The magic is really interesting. It was a really good Trilogy. There was a few dirty parts in first book, which was great. Wish it had more of that and I wished the MC could meta few more ladies, specially in later books. Narration was perfect!
