About this listen

Brought to you by Puffin.

An incredible, brand-new spin-off series from the best-selling creator of Percy Jackson.

OLD ENEMIES AWAKEN AS CAMP HALF-BLOOD'S NEW ARRIVALS PREPARE FOR WAR

When Jason, Piper and Leo crash land at Camp Half-Blood, they have no idea what to expect. Apparently this is the only safe place for children of the Greek Gods - despite the monsters roaming the woods and demigods practising archery with flaming arrows and explosives.

But rumours of a terrible curse - and a missing hero - are flying around camp.
It seems Jason, Piper and Leo are the chosen ones to embark on a terrifying new quest, which they must complete by the winter solstice. In just four days time.

Can the trio succeed on this deadly mission - and what must they sacrifice in order to survive?

Two stars a wish:
Star- The story is great, all the characters keep you thinking and the sotryline is very well thought out
-The sotry intertwines beautifully with the original Percy Jackson series and is perfect for people who want more in the world of magic, myth and prophecy.

Wish
-The narration, while very good, is a bit out of tune. The narrator has a habit of forgetting what voices he has been using for characters, such as the once cheerful Annabeth to the stony-faced warrior girl, or Chiron the centaur to a very stressed Gandalf.

Great story!

You would think they would check the pronunciation before starting a book about Greek mythology. Amazing story ruined my many mispronunciations.

I d k why people hate the narrator so much. But I DON’T hate the narrator coz I think the narrator is actually very good.

Narrator…

I found the pronunciation of words like Gaia really jarring. A J sound is not how that’s pronounced in standard British or American English as far as I’m aware. If it was the Greek pronunciation with a Y sound, then fair enough; but it wasn’t.

Aside from that particular gripe, I really enjoyed the narration

Good, but…
