About this listen
Amelia Organizes Herself Into Trouble!
She's a born organizer and a redhead to boot. Can she get everyone around her marching to her tune? Amelia and Aurelius are orphaned twins. She's a bossy, fiery red-head. Her handsome brother wants to join Wellington's army. But she wants him to become a diplomat. She talks her way into a man's job - as secretary to an aristocrat - hoping he will provide the contacts.
Along the way, she forces him to pay attention to the horrors of working conditions in the factories and in so doing makes an enemy of a wealthy mill owner. Then when her boss disappears and her brother joins the army anyway, can Amelia save them both?

A wonderfully entertaining listen!
This is the second book from this author that I have read. After fully enjoying the first book, I researched the author and signed up for her newsletter, with which she offers a free short story or audiobook! She replied personally to provide the link to an Audible credit for this specific audiobook. I note the link was on Audible UK but I am an Audible US subscriber; apparently this only shows up in "my library" on the UK site. It might have been downloadable from the US site, but it took me a bit to figure out how to redeem it and by that time, I'd answered the "switch to Audible UK" question with yes, so here it is!
I loved this story and the characters! Both were unusual and interesting enough for me to listen to the book in a single day (although at the cost of some sleep LOL). The author herself did the narration and did a wonderful job! There was a hiccup or two, but nothing about the narration was distracting from the experience, in my opinion. I would listen to other of her books she may narrate.
The book is definitely not correct to the period since the characters would not be in such a situation, but I am able to freely overlook this due to the way the book engaged and entertained me! This is an author on the cusp of making it onto my favorite authors list and I highly recommend it!
