One of the Best

It may well be fiction, but my goodness both Peter May and Peter Forbes make it so real .
Peter May’s description of the Highlands and Island’s of Scotland and of Edinburgh and The Dean Gallery, both places I love , are wonderful, powerful and delicious to encounter again and again, the story line is a wonderful experience of love of endurance through time tinged with sadness and despair for a love lost forever and a love just lost .
The detail of Peter May’s writing is as if you were actually there as a third person standing in the wings witnessing everything as it unfolded.
Brilliant.
Peter Forbes narration just adds to this wonderful trilogy, the depth of feelings that he gives to each individual caricature just adds to the enjoyment, there were times when I was in tears for poor Tormid’s despair and times when I smiled at the antics he got up to .
All in all just a wonderful, wonderful, journey which I return to time and time again .
Peter May thank you for giving me that escape we desperately need sometimes, in all of your writings.
Peter Forbes , thank you for bringing these to life so brilliantly.
Dougal , a confirmed fan of both Peter’s .
Thank you both
