Summary
When a professional relationship turns personal, it's impossible to resist the law of attraction.
Alec Rowland is a high-flying lawyer in a London firm, whose career is his life. He doesn't have time for relationships, and his sexuality is a closely guarded secret. After picking up a cute guy on a Friday night, Alec's world is rocked to its foundations when his one night stand shows up in the office on Monday morning - as the new temp on his team.
Ed Piper is desperate to prove himself in his new job. The last thing he needs is to be distracted by a crush on his boss. Loved this!
This was a great story - brought to life really well in the audiobook. I had already read the book so was keen to get the audio - the characterisation of Ed was spot on for me and although initially my version of Alec wasn't quite as poshly spoken in my head as the narrator, it works really well. The story flowed as it was easy to relate to which character was speaking and the MCs relationship came across as real and earned.
Great audio version of a great book.

Amazing moved me
Excellent book the story touched me deeply and it was inspirational as a story of love, shame, feat, courage etc

A very enjoyable audiobook
Story - Another winner featuring all the hallmarks of a wonderful story from Jay. Well written and easy to read, this is a definite page-turner with fabulously hot sex scenes, sizzling chemistry, along with sexual tension between Alec and Ed. I loved it and them together. Their interaction felt real as did the awkward situation they found themselves in. I loved the low angst and the uncertainty over their relationship status as they dealt with their feelings and the difficulty caused by Alec having wedged himself firmly in the closet.
Audio version - A very enjoyable and professional performance from Matthew. His voice and intonation give the main characters a mature edge. I loved his Scottish chamber maids and the other female accents.

The superb narration puts a high gloss of what is actually a pretty run of the mill tale. Nothing much signed sealed or delivered.
