His jaw clenches and his eyes flash from gray to green. I feel Neoma come to the surface, letting her eyes shine their lighter blue to my dark ones. She’s not happy with the comment either. His nostrils flare. It’s considered a challenge. He growls low and my temper gets the better of me… I match it. I can see if only for a split second it surprises him.
“It’s a simple question,” he says. “If you have nothing to hide.”
Still, I don’t like his tone, which only makes my smart mouth go off. “I have nothing to hide,” I say, lifting my chin. “And I don’t have to tell you anything about me.”
His eyes narrow. I can tell he is having a hard time controlling his wolf. “You. Are. My. Mate... Everything about you is my business.”
Accalia is the last of her pack. Taken in by The Silver River Pack, but never treated as part of it. She finally has decided to leave, but what she doesn’t realize is this is only the beginning. If you, like me, love fated mates shifter books with well-drawn characters, a strong female lead and a possessive overprotective male then you should love this story which has an amazing plot then this book is for you!
Samantha Abbott is a new author for me, this is the first book of hers I have enjoyed. In this story, she puts an interesting and different spin on shifters making it fun but also intense. Once I started listening to the wonderfully well-done narration of Christina Rose I was hooked and didn't want to stop listening to this wonderfully well-crafted story full of action, love, spice and magic.
I'm not going to give spoilers so I won't say more but what I will say is this will not be the last book of Samantha Abbott I listen to.

I thought the narration was good. The narrator did an admirable job with the variety of voices, something I'm sure isn't easy.
